You learned more about Dan a few days ago, and now it’s time to learn more about me! I’m so excited I started this monthly series.
What You Don’t Know About Me
1. This weekend I’m in Montreal for my best friend Chantal’s wedding! Remember the tattoo I mentioned last month? I’ve reunited with Jessica and Amelia for Chantal’s wedding today! It’s the first time the four of us have been together since July 2010.
2. If I didn’t have Crohn’s Disease, I would be taller. Or if I had been diagnosed immediately, I also might be taller. I wouldn’t be a lot taller, maybe just an inch or so. During the years I was undiagnosed, my Crohn’s basically hit pause on my growth. While other physical developments were just delayed, I lost whatever height I might have gained during that time.
3. I took 10 years of jazz and tap lessons growing up. I was also on my middle school clogging team in the 7th grade. Finally, I was on my high school dance team all four years, plus captain my senior year. I miss dancing SO much, and I hope to find some classes here in Duluth.

If Charlene’s name seems familiar, she’s the one who started the Thankful Thursdays blog link-up I’ve joined the last few months! Charlene blogs about faith, marriage, and more at From Bisons to Buckeyes. One of my favorite posts of hers is (unsurprisingly) about lessons she learned from Harry Potter. I’m a little bummed I didn’t discover her blog earlier, since she lives in Ohio, and we totally could have met up!
What You Don’t Know About Charlene
Charlene holds a Georgia state record for bench-pressing! As a teenager, she benched 125 pounds which beat the previous record for the girls’ 13-15 age group.

Rebecca is one of my fellow Crohnies! I especially love the story behind both of her tattoos, and how they remind her of her strength while living with Crohn’s. She’s recently become a merchandiser for Chloe + Isabel, a jewelry line. If I didn’t already own so much jewelry, I would be tempted by the collection of delicate necklaces! Rebecca is also a total bibliophile, just like me!
What You Don’t Know About Rebecca
Rebecca is obsessed with penguins (she has great taste in animals!), but terrified of birds.
