30 Before 30: A Bucket List of Sorts

Many years ago, I attempted my own 101 Things in 1001 Days. Unfortunately, I was a bit too ambitious. I did manage to cross a few things off my list, like Dan’s proposal and my fleur-de-lis tattoo. But I have no idea why I thought I could edit and revise my best college papers without access to an academic library… While working full-time. In fact, during 10 months of those 1001 days, I was working 2 jobs.

I love how many bloggers do age-specific challenges. I just turned 28 a few months ago. I feel like 30 before 30 is a reasonable bucket list.

If any of these look familiar, a few of them overlap with my Do-Over Bucket List.

So what do I hope to do by my 30th birthday?

30×30 Travel

  1. Go to France with Dan
  2. Go to Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Done! October 17-25, 2015)
  3. Spend Christmas with Dan in Greenwood (Done! Christmas 2015)
  4. Go to Savannah with Dan (Done! September 25-27, 2015. Read the recap!)
  5. Visit all of the vineyards along Georgia’s Wine Highway
  6. Go to Charleston with Dan
  7. Discover Atlanta
  8. Visit Harry and Celia in Charlotte (Done! January 31, 2016)

What blog conference would you attend? I’ve also been wanting to do the Whole 30! Maybe next month! Good luck with your goals!

I’m doing the Maidaie Mixer in October! It’s small, so I’m not sure if I’ll let it “count” or not. But since I live in the Atlanta area, there are tons of opportunities for me. I have time to figure out if a bigger one will suit me or not.

I’m doing Whole 7 in October, aka just a week of it. That’s my trial run to give me an idea of the time + financial commitment for when I do the whole thing.

Love this! I’m planning to revise my bucket list and post it on the blog this month. Anyway, I think you’ve got a great list here that’s attainable but not too crazy. Good luck!

I can’t wait to read your bucket list!

I definitely leaned towards things that I’ve been planning already. Like Dan and I are going to Savannah this month and Orlando next month. 😉

I love Harry Potter parties! At this point, I know what I’m doing, so I feel like I could host a really good one.

Such a great idea! I have an overall bucket list but I just turned 28 and I am tempted to use these two years to do a 30×30.

So awesome that you were published on xoJane! Also, I love that you have a non-fiction category- though that one would be easy for me because I love reading celebrity memoirs. Haha!
