With everything going on in June with my mom, I skipped my monthly installment of this blog series (check out Volume 1 and Volume 2). I’m excited to be back with three more things you don’t know about me! Plus, I have some exciting details on my June and July sponsors!
What You Don’t Know About Me
1. I graduated from Emerald High School 10 years ago, 3rd in our class. The top 4 students, plus the student body president, all had the privilege of sitting on stage and speaking during the ceremony. Our 10-year reunion is next Saturday! I’m a little bummed that most of my best friends won’t be there (I’m looking at you two, Kimi and Madison), but Dan and I plan on hanging out with my best friend Aimee. I think it will be interesting to see everyone after 10 years. Plus, if it’s boring, Dan, Aimee, and I will just go back to my parents’ house to swim.
2. My twin brother Harry and I are very different… but we have the weirdest things in common. Our favorite color is pink. We both majored in history. And apparently back when we both worked retail, we both had knee problems, even though we’re only in our 20s. Oh, and we got married in the same year!
3. I am slowly decorating our entire townhouse with owls, keys, and fleurs-de-lis. One day I will live in the perfect Kappa home! Lucky for me, Dan approves of my decor scheme.

Sometimes I wonder if the motivation behind blogging is the desire to be the heroine of our own story–in the most literal way possible. Tyler’s blog An Aspiring Heroine is exactly that. Tyler writes about literature and her own post-collegiate, newlywed life. She’s totally my nerdy counterpart, except I’m way more like Hermione than she is. Oh, and while I just moved from Ohio to Georgia, apparently Tyler just moved from Georgia to Ohio. While I’m not sure Dan and I will drink around the world in our upcoming trip to Disney World, I love Tyler’s post on how she had 11 drinks in 11 countries in 11 hours at Epcot!
What You Don’t Know About Tyler:
As a kid, Tyler always followed the rules to a T because she had the worst luck any time she didn’t. For instance, the first and only time that Tyler ever ran up a slide, she fell right off the side of it and broke her arm!

Petra blogs at Spring of Health about diet, fitness, and overall well-being. If you’re looking for a healthy treat this summer, check out her recipe for frozen fruit pops! I have a new aloe plant, and I can’t wait to try out Petra’s suggestions for using aloe gel as a facial mask!
What You Don’t Know About Petra:
Petra has written two books–both under a pen name–and she will update both with a second edition by the end of this year.

Angela is a fellow feminist who writes at The Clutter Box Blog. While Angela identifies as atheist, she’s currently working through the Bible to understand it better. I love reading her wedding posts, especially her explanation for why she didn’t want her father to walk her down the aisle. Finally, I highly encourage you to read Angela’s rant on the bullshit sexist comments people have made to her about marriage.
What You Don’t Know About Angela:
(In her own words). “I have social anxiety. It’s been a few years building and I am finally at the point where I can start to write about it. However it has not been a topic that is easily written! The irony of it, is that lately I have been discovering so many bloggers writing about this anxiety, and they are lovely amazing people. It is wonderful connecting with them, hearing their stories, realizing it is normal and how to cope! One day I will be able to write a post reflecting how it makes me feel as proudly as I did for my migraine post.”
