3 Things You Don’t Know About Me // Volume 6

Did you miss learning a few tidbits about me last month? I love sharing more about my sponsors and me every month!

Exciting News: I’m now adding a blog link-up to this monthly post! If you want to be a co-host, check out my advertising options.

What do you not know about me?

What You Don’t Know About Me

1. I did a lot of community theatre growing up. My best role was playing Brigitta in The Sound of Music. My mom played Frau Schmidt, the housekeeper. We only had four weeks between the initial read-through and Opening Night, which is a ridiculously short period of time for a musical. That summer was one of the best summers of my life!

2. I know I’m more than a little obsessed with Disney princesses, but my favorite Disney movie as a kid did not feature a single princess. For many years, 101 Dalmatians was my favorite movie of all time! Today my favorite Disney film is probably Beauty & the Beast.

3. Last week I did NOT get to see the first showing of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. Thursday night, I was hanging out with my best friend McPhee, and I didn’t think a movie would make for quality time. Plus I wanted to see it with Dan! I saw the first three films at early showings, but I didn’t mind waiting a bit longer to see the conclusion. Dan and I saw it last night with his oldest brother Nick. Spoiler alert: it’s just as depressing as the book.

A multimedia journalist, Dana blogs at The Whisper Box about books, movies, music, and more. Like me, she’s working on a 30 by 30 list… But she has a lot more time to finish her goals than I do! If you look to celebrities for style inspiration, check out Dana’s Wardrobe Wednesdays. She compares the high-end, celebrity looks with affordable alternatives.

What You Don’t Know About Dana:

Dana has never had a cavity! (Knock on wood). I’m more than a little jealous of that.

Guen blogs at her self-titled blog Mrs. Maher about travel, fashion, knitting, and more. She is an ex-pat living in America who recently received her green card! You can read all about her visa timeline. Her husband looks like a swell guy considering he dressed up as a Star Trek officer for Halloween.

What You Don’t Know About Guen:

Guen doesn’t eat vegetables, but she still knows how a recipe would taste if it’s cooked with vegetables. For example, she loves Kung Pao Noodles! But if it’s made with vegetables, she doesn’t like it. Sounds a bit like my picky eater husband…
