I’m so excited to be Jenna’s co-host for her monthly Coffee Date blog link-up! Before I jump into my highs & lows for this month, I have to brag on Jenna for a minute. She rebranded this week from Dearest Love to Gold & Bloom. I love her new logo and new blog design!
Anyway. Onto my highs & lows for April.
Highs:
Dan and I are slowly settling into our townhouse! It is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to share what we’re doing with it.

Dan built me a beautiful desk for my office. We’ve also picked out the cork boards, dry erase calendar, and file storage to go above my desk. Plus I still have a pink photo board from college. My office is still full of boxes, but it’s coming together.
Dan and I spent a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago at the lake with our friend Rich. It was a perfect day!

This past weekend, Dan and I went to IKEA on Saturday… AND we came in under budget, while still getting everything on our list. On Sunday, we hung out with my friend Leah, and we went to a local Open Mic night to see fellow Kappa Emily perform! She has only gotten more talented since we graduated Furman six years ago. After the show ended, Emily and her husband Rous came back to our townhouse. It was so nice catching up over brie and Bordeaux!
Be sure to listen to Emily’s music on her website.
On Wednesday, I finally met Jessica of Jessica Lynn Writes!!!! I’ve “known” her online for over two years now. We met up at Atlantic Station (cute outdoor mall) and had frozen yogurt. Plus I got to meet her darling girls!

While you read this, Dan and I are driving from Greenwood to North Myrtle Beach! Dan is only staying through Sunday, but I get to stay through next weekend. Yes, I still have to work next week, but I’m working part-time hours, just 3-4 hours a day.
Lows:
I’m still underweight. I have to wait until May for my MRI and colonoscopy because my new insurance won’t start until then. My current health insurance doesn’t cover much of anything.
Dan and I have made progress in our townhouse, but there’s still so much left to do. It’s a little overwhelming to think about.
Now it’s your turn!
