Currently: November Edition

What I'm currently doing!

Reading: I took a few weeks off from my normally nonstop reading to catch up on blogging work, spend quality time with Dan, and go to Philadelphia with Libbi for a wonderful bridal shower! Oh, and I planned out what books I’m reading next. Now that we’re finally in November, I can start reading books for the Winter 2014 Book Challenge! I’m not sure yet in what order I’ll read the books, but I definitely need to hit up the Findlay library in search of the ones I don’t want to buy.

Wishlisting: All I want for Christmas are non-material items. I want my mom to be completely healed of cancer. I want Dan to find a kickass job that will let him start in January or February. Bonus points if they pay for our relocation. I want my parents (and Jeremy, Harry, and Celia, if they’d like) to come to Findlay for Christmas. I want Libbi and Henry to have their fairy tale wedding.

I would also like a black, button-up cardigan that fits both my shoulders and my boobs. I’ve already tried on about 20 black cardigans this year, to no avail.

Loving: Gilmore Girls on Netflix! It has been my latest background TV binge. I never really watched Gilmore Girls when it aired, so I’m experiencing all the awesomeness for the first time. My best friend and sorority sister Bethany has been my biggest supporter while watching Gilmore Girls. It’s her favorite show of all time, and I understand why.

Appreciating: My husband! Maybe it’s cliche, but it’s true. While Dan’s current stretch of unemployment is obviously not the best, I do love having him home. At his previous job, he traveled every single week, sometimes for 2-3 nights at a time. It’s nice spending more time with him.

Creating: A Christmas ornament wreath for our home! Last year, I made one for Dan’s parents for Christmas. Dan and I bought a bunch of ornaments on clearance last year so that I could make one for us. I followed this wreath tutorial last year, but I think I might try this tutorial for our ornament wreath.

I forgot to take a picture of the final product! This is the ornament wreath about two-thirds of the way through the process. The final wreath was so beautiful, but it took a lot more time with a lot more ornaments than I had anticipated. I think the wire tutorial will be faster.

I’m linking up with Jenna and and Anne for Currently! What are you reading, wishlisting, loving, appreciating, and creating right now?

Bisous, Brita
