On March 5th, I sent out my very first monthly newsletter!
I had hoped to announce it on the blog first, like Kristyn did for Chits&Giggles and Anne did for Love the Here and Now. (Yes, I’m subscribed to both!) But if you’re following me on Twitter, you know that Dan and I finally moved from Findlay to Suwanee (temporarily, until we find something nearer to Norcross) last weekend.
Things have just been so busy that I haven’t had the time to create a newsletter AND to write a blog post announcing it. I wanted to send it out in the first week of March, so after a few trial emails sent to Dan and to myself, I hit FINISH and emailed out the inaugural life.love.latitude newsletter. Only now do I have the time to introduce it to my loyal blog readers.
Why life.love.latitude?
I’m a huge fan of alliteration. I wanted a title for my newsletter separate from my blog’s name, Belle Brita.
I actually came up with the concept for my newsletter before I came up with the title. I knew I wanted to focus on the two topics that resonate the most with my readers: feminism and relationships. Once I figured out how to incorporate those into my newsletter, in an interesting way other than just sharing my blog posts, the title came to me shortly after.
Life: your lives, the lives of my blog readers
Love: your relationships, the people who matter to my blog readers
Latitude: the blogging community, your local community, the global community
Why Subscribe to life.love.latitude?
life.love.latitude is your monthly source of inspiration to improve your life, your relationships, and your community.
Each month, I will send you three actionable steps towards changing the world.
Life: something to do today, in 30 minutes or left, to improve your own life
Love: something to work on during the week to improve your relationships–romantic, platonic, and/or familial
Latitude: actions to take throughout the month that will improve the greater community, whether that be your hometown, the blogging community, or the global community
Plus I’ll include some behind-the-scenes details about Belle Brita and some sneak peeks at the upcoming month. And you have the opportunity to request certain topics you want to see on Belle Brita (although you’re free to do that in the comments!).
Will you join me on this journey to change the world?
What’s your favorite monthly newsletter? What would you like to see me cover either on Belle Brita or as part of life.love.latitude? While I will always write what is true and right for me, I’m interested in ideas and inspiration!
