Writing: Um, this blog post? Also tomorrow’s post on everyday sexism, and (hopefully) Friday’s post on Jesus Feminist. And getting ready to write SO MUCH about Colorado and Salt Lake City!
Anticipating: Our visit to Temple Square here in Salt Lake City. Our friends’ vow renewal and wedding reception. A charity croquet match with Kappa Kappa Gamma. And in one month, Harry and Celia’s wedding!!!!!

Missing: South Carolina. I was there in April for our wedding reception and in May for my mom’s surgery, but I won’t be there again this year. While I’m very content with my life in Ohio, it’s hard being so far away from my home state. I wish I could return for Furman’s Homecoming, especially since I haven’t been since 2011, and my bestie/former roommate Rachel and her husband Luke are hosting our mutual friends. But between traveling for Harry and Celia’s wedding in October, and Libbi’s bachelorette party in November, I just can’t justify another plane ticket and weekend away.

Wearing: During Lilly Pulitzer’s After Party Sale, I bought two new dresses and a belt. (A hot pink eyelet dress, a white eyelet dress, and a turquoise bow belt). Last Thursday, I didn’t actually have any special occasion to wear my new white eyelet dress, but it was so pretty that I just had to dress up! I paired my white eyelet dress with my new bow belt, gold wedges, and Eiffel Tower necklace.

Craving: Summer Shandy. Dan and I have purchased as much Summer Shandy as possible. It is the most delicious beer ever. Nectar of the gods. But grocery stores started selling Oktoberfest in the middle of August and started phasing out Summer Shandy. Luckily Dan and I found a single six-pack at the Target near my aunt’s house Saturday, so I have some here on our vacation. And my brother-in-law Pat found some in Michigan and bought me a whole case!!!! Add that to what Dan and I have found going to all the grocery stores and beer barns in Findlay, and I should have enough Summer Shandy to last me until Halloween.
Linking up with Anne and Jenna for Currently. What have you been up to lately?

Love that dress! I’m such a fan of eyelet styles. Also, your wedding dress was so pretty with that touch of red! Traditional wedding gowns are gorgeous but I’d love to have one I can dance and move around in 🙂
I was a little hesitant that I’m too old for white eyelet, but my best friend reassured me that I can still wear it.
It’s actually hot pink, not red, although I know it’s hard to differentiate in some of our photos. I wore a traditional gown as a debutante. When we decided to have a small morning wedding, with only our parents and siblings, I decided a short dress would work better than a long one. Bonus: it’s not even a wedding dress, just a nice satin dress from Unique Vintage, so it was very affordable!
I love this white eyelet dress! Really beautiful! x
Thanks! I can’t wait to show off the pink eyelet dress. It has sleeves, so it will transition nicely into fall. 🙂
The belt is soooo fab with that white dress!! You look darling… 🙂

Thank you!
What an adorable dress. You look fantastic in it!
Aw, thank you! I had to double-check with my fashionista bestie first that I’m not too old for white eyelet, but she promised me it’s a classic look.
Oh, I love summer shandy too – and I just discovered that Sam Adams makes a similar thing (Porch Rocker) that might even be better… Love the outfit – a white eyelet dress is a summer staple around here too. So simple and pretty. Thanks for linking up!
I might have to look into the Sam Adams version! You can’t have too many delicious beers.
That dress is divine!! Such great photos.
Thank you!
You look beautiful! Love that dress.
Oh, and I’m a huge fan of summer shandy as well! yum!
Aw, thank you! And it’s the best, right?!
Love the white eyelet dress on you, i need to buy more white dresses next year. Beautiful mint belt with it!

Thank you! I was very happy that my clothing budget had some space in it at the same time Lilly Pulitzer held their big sale.
I just discovered you today and am trying to restrain myself from commenting on all your posts. Love the dress, love the shoes even more, and is that a tattoo peeping out from underneath the shoe strap?
I feel your pain about Summer Shandy going away, but I’m also ridiculously excited about all the pumpkin brews making their appearance! Yesterday started to feel very autumnal here in Virginia.
Hahahaha, you’re awesome. Feel free to comment on everything!
Yup, my foot tattoo says Soixante dix huit. I got it in Paris with my three best friends, near the end of all of us working as au pairs in the suburbs. It refers to the 78th département, where we lived.
I love pumpkin-flavored stuff, I actually get the pumpkin bread at Starbucks year-round, but I’m not sure pumpkin beer is for me. I am excited about fresh apple cider, though, and other pumpkin treats. Between my awesome husband, who bought the last case of Summer Shandy at one of the beer drive-thrus here, and my awesome BIL, who somehow found me a case of Summer Shandy in Michigan, I have enough to get me to Halloween, I think. At that point my alcohol will just switch to red wine!!! I love red wine, but it’s too heavy for me in the summer.
That was a really long reply…
That dress is super cute, and it looks so adorable with the mint belt and sparkly sandals.
Super cute dress! 😀 You look great in it!
Thank you!
