I completely forgot about The Guys Behind the Blog last month. Betsy and Laura Jean host this link-up the last Thursday of every month. I usually post a day early or a day late since I blog for Thankful Thursday on the last Thursday of the month.
May’s questions have a fun summer twist! Which would you rather do? For an extra dose of fun, I’ve shared my own answers along with Dan’s responses.
Would you rather have to wear your swimsuit to work OR have to carry around a large beach umbrella open all day at work?
Dan: I’d rather wear my swimsuit at work. This is probably a bigger issue for women, but for a guy, this would be fairly comfortable for me, and I don’t enjoy business casual, which is what I currently have to wear at work. It might suck for managers who have leather chairs, though.
Brita: I work from home! I would totally wear my swimsuit to “work.”
Would you rather play on an MLB team OR get to tour with your favorite band all summer?
Dan: Having to tour seems like a lot of travel, so it probably wouldn’t be my preference. I feel like with my experience playing baseball, as the right-fielder, which doesn’t entail a lot of work–I could probably handle that. Still a lot of travel, but you play half the games at home, right? On the other hand, my favorite band is Weird Al, and that would be pretty epic.
Brita: I would love to tour with Taylor Swift. She counts as a “favorite band,” right?
Would you rather go to the beach and forget your towel OR go to the beach and forget your sunscreen?
Dan: Definitely forget my towel. Assuming you’re at the beach, and you’re going swimming, and you’re going to get wet, it’s hot enough that you’ll eventually dry off. Spend an hour at the beach without sunscreen, and you’re going to be in pain. Also, usually when I go to the beach, I spend more time building sandcastles than going swimming.
Brita: Take my naturally fair skin and add it to the extra-sensitivity caused by my Remicade infusions? Sunscreen is an absolute must.
Would you rather take a week-long vacation to anywhere in the world OR take a month-long vacation but have to stay within 100 miles of home?
Dan: I’d totally take the one-month vacation. I could hang out with our friend Rich on Lake Lanier, and I feel like that would be more awesome than going anywhere in the world for 1/4th of the time. Plus for all the cool places in the world, most of that week would be taken up with travel.
Brita: We live within 100 miles of the beach AND the mountains. Hellooo, month-long vacation!
Would you rather get to have as much ice cream as you want this summer, but only be able to get vanilla OR only get to have ice cream three times this summer, but you can have whatever flavors you want?
Dan: I would totally take the unlimited vanilla ice cream… Under the assumption that I can still add toppings to said ice cream? I mean, vanilla ice cream is still good, and if I could add toppings, I could make grasshoppers!
Brita: Are we pretending ice cream doesn’t make me sick? Or am I eating one of my dairy-alternative ice creams? So far I’ve tried soy ice cream, almond ice cream, and coconut ice cream, all in vanilla. So yeah, I’m fine only eating vanilla non-dairy ice cream, since it’s one of the few options I legitimately have!
I would love to hear your answers to these questions!
